What is andropause?
Andropause — sometimes called male menopause — is the gradual decline in testosterone and other hormones that most men experience from their late 30s onwards. Unlike female menopause, it happens slowly, which means many men don't realise what's happening.
Symptoms
Persistent fatigue and low energy. Loss of muscle mass and increased body fat. Reduced libido and erectile changes. Brain fog, poor concentration, irritability. Sleep disruption. Decreased motivation and drive.
Diagnosis
Comprehensive hormone panels including total and free testosterone, SHBG, oestradiol, DHEA, thyroid function, cortisol, and metabolic markers. Symptoms alone are not enough — we need the full picture.
Treatment
Bioidentical testosterone replacement therapy. DHEA and thyroid support where indicated. Lifestyle interventions — exercise, sleep, stress management. Peptide therapy for cellular recovery. Ongoing monitoring and protocol adjustment.
